Over the past 1,5 year, I have been part of a team responsible for maintaining a bank's website in the .com.au domain, where my role involved enhancing the website's usability, adapting it to the needs of the marketing department and business priorities. Despite seemingly minor changes, these required significant efforts from both the production and development teams, ultimately greatly improving its customer interactions.
My goals and achievements:
Develop visually appealing and user-centered designs for the bank's website and campaign landing pages, ensuring that the site effectively communicates the bank's brand and values. Use best practices in UI design to create designs that are intuitive and easy to use, reducing friction for users and driving engagement. Conduct user research, usability testing, and other data-driven methods to inform design decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.

Redesign and rebrand the bank's website to reflect the organization's updated brand identity and messaging, while maintaining user-friendliness and intuitive navigation for visitors.

Develop interactive and user-friendly calculators for the website, such as electric car loan or wellness calculators, that help customers make informed financial decisions.

Provide support in the development of a content-as-a-service (CaaS) hub, which enables the bank to deliver relevant and personalised content to customers. Conduct user research, including surveys and interviews, ideation sessions to better understand customer/business needs and preferences and incorporate these insights into the design process.

Collaborate with producers, developers, creative team and business stakeholders to understand user needs, goals, and pain points, and create designs that address those factors. Ensure designs comply with industry standards and best practices, including accessibility, responsive design, and search engine optimization (SEO).

Continuously improve the website's component kit, creating a consistent look and feel across all pages and touch points. Stay current with emerging tasks and provide thought leadership and guidance to the producers and developers.
